The results for this December indicate a level of 0.118 ug/l.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has issued a report that looks back at the first year of its efforts to reduce hexavalent chromium emissions in the City of Paramount.
This is the third time SCAQMD has ordered Anaplex to curtail its operations since the Hearing Board adopted its order. The company previously curtailed work in February and June.
The samples for November indicate a level of 0.165 ug/l.
The samples for the month of October indicate a level of 0.0733 ug/l. This amount is well below California’s Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 ug/l.
The August samples indicate a level of 0.057 ug/l, while the September results have a level of 0.053 ug/l. Each month’s sample amount show a hexavalent chromium level well below California’s Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 ug/l.
Assembly Bill 1132 was passed by the State Legislature and signed by Governor Jerry Brown on August 7, 2017.
SCAQMD has detected elevated readings of hexavalent chromium being emitted from Lubeco Inc. (6859 Downey Ave) in Long Beach.
