GO ZERO Space and Water Heating Appliance Incentives

Description:

  • South Coast AQMD’s Governing Board approved funding GO ZERO, a $21 million pilot incentive program for single family, multifamily, and small businesses to adopt zero-NOx emission space and water heating appliances: heat pumps for space heating and cooling (heat pump HVAC) and heat pumps for water heating.
  • Qualifying products are all-electric heat pumps for space (heat pump HVAC) and water heating (heat pump water heaters) that re ENERGY STAR certified and were installed after program launch date in existing single-family homes (6/24/25), multifamily buildings (6/13/25), or existing commercial properties for small business (6/13/25).
  • Rebate amounts will range between $1,000 to $4,000 depending on the type of unit (heat pump HVAC or heat pump water heater), application (single family, multifamily, small business), and location.

Electric Lawn Mower Rebate Program

Description:

  • South Coast AQMD is offering a year-round program that allows consumers to purchase new cordless electric lawn mowers at any retail center or online. There are many electric lawn mower models available. Rebate amounts are based on the purchase price of the new electric lawn mower, not including taxes and delivery.
  • The Electric Lawn Mower Rebate Program will be implemented on a first-come, first-served basis and will provide up to $250 towards the cost of the battery electric lawn mower.

Eligibility:

  • Eligibility is open to residents of South Coast AQMD’s jurisdiction.
  • The electric lawn mower purchased must be new, not used or previously owned, or factory reconditioned.
  • Must be zero-emission electric, battery-powered lawn mower.  Corded electric mowers are not eligible. 
  • No refurbished or reconditioned electric lawn mowers will be accepted as part of the program.
