The City of Paramount was named the winner in the Model Community Achievement category at the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) 30th Annual Clean Air Awards on October 5, 2018.
AB 617 requires the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to develop a monitoring plan for the state and then select, based on the plan, the highest priority locations to deploy community air monitoring systems.
On April 28, the City of Paramount held its First Annual Community Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Planting Event.
Assembly Bill 1132 was passed by the State Legislature and signed by Governor Jerry Brown on August 7, 2017.
