On Saturday, December 1, SCAQMD held two community meetings to discuss the Health Risk Assessment and Early Risk Reduction plans for Anaplex Corporation and Aerocraft Heat Treating Company, respectively.
During its October 9, 2018 meeting, the Paramount Planning Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Aerocraft Heat Treating Co. to install and operate four dust collectors for greater pollution control.

Because the hexavalent chromium levels have been declining slowly and are now within the typical levels, the City recently learned that SCAQMD will be reducing the size and frequency of sampling for its monitoring network in Paramount to focus on other areas that have higher potential for air toxics exposure.

Hexavalent chromium emissions readings are now being taken by the combined four monitors outside the Aerocraft facility.
