AQMD Updates Paramount Air Monitoring Plan

Because the hexavalent chromium levels have been declining slowly and are now within the typical levels, the City recently learned that SCAQMD will be reducing the size and frequency of sampling for its monitoring network in Paramount to focus on other areas that have higher potential for air toxics exposure.

LA County Issues Residential Soil Sampling Report

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has published findings on soil samples taken near two businesses identified as emitting high levels of hexavalent chromium in the City of Paramount: Anaplex Corporation and Aerocraft Heat Treating.
