City Seeking Residents for Sub Committee

The City of Paramount’s Air Quality Sub Committee was formed at the beginning of December 2016 with the intention of keeping residents informed on the latest issues regarding South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) activity in town and bringing the entire community together as a team to address these issues. The team, made up of Mayor Daryl Hofmeyer, City Councilmember Diane Martinez, Public Works Commissioner Alexander Garcia, Public Works Commissioner Rosemary Vasquez, City Manager John Moreno, and Assistant City Manager Kevin Chun, will be adding more community representation and input to its number.

Residents of Paramount are invited to apply for a position on the Air Quality Sub Committee. Beginning Saturday, January 7, the application period will be open for six days, ending on Friday, January 13. Residents who have an interest in assisting the city in working toward resolving the recent air quality issue are encouraged to apply.

The application period is currently closed.
