Planning Commission Study Session @ City Hall

The City of Paramount Planning Commission will be conducting a third Study Session meeting on Thursday, May 31st at City Hall (16400 Colorado Avenue), at 6:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to continue discussion about the City Council Air Quality Sub Committee’s recommendations for amending the City’s manufacturing zone regulations. Additionally, the group will discuss suggestions from the public and any staff changes.

All members of the public are invited to attend and participate at these meetings.

SCAQMD Community Meeting for AB 617 @ South Gate Park

Join South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) to learn about Assembly Bill (AB) 617, a new opportunity to improve air quality in disadvantaged communities most burdened by air pollution. SCAQMD is conducting public meetings to seek input on how to prioritize communities in our region for future air monitoring and emission reduction programs.

Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss ideas and provide public comment. Spanish interpretation will be offered at each meeting.

Acompañe al Distrito de Administración de la Calidad del Aire de la Costa Sur (SCAQMD) para aprender acerca de la ley de la Asamblea de California 617 (AB 617), la cual es una nueva oportunidad para mejorar la calidad del aire en comunidades de pocos recursos mas afectadas por la contaminación del aire. SCAQMD esta llevando a cabo juntas comunitarias para recibir sus sugerencias sobre cómo priorizar comunidades en nuestra región para futuros programas de monitoreo de aire y de reducción de emisiones.

Participantes tendrán la oportunidad de compartir sus ideas y proveer comentarios. Se ofrecerá traducción al español en cada junta.
