On February 22, 2017, the State Water Resources Control Board announced the launch of its Human Right to Water Portal, which shows the City of Paramount's water system to be in full compliance.
The samples taken at the beginning of February indicate a level of 0.21 ug/l; this amount is well below the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 ug/l for the State of California.
Based off samples taken on January 23, 2017, there has been no change in the level of hexavalent chromium of 0.09 ug/l, which is less than the detection limit of 1 part per billion (ppb) for drinking water.
