The City of Paramount has been closely tracking a handful of rules relevant to addressing and lowering hexavalent chromium emissions. Rules 1426, 1469, and 1480 are in the process of being updated and amended to ensure best overall community health.

New Rules Aid Air Quality in Paramount
In a move supported by the Paramount City Council and active voices in the Paramount community, the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Governing Board today adopted a measure that will reduce metal particulate emissions, some of which are air toxic contaminants, from metal grinding and metal cutting operations at forging facilities.
