The City of Paramount Planning Commission will be conducting a Study Session meeting on Monday, March 19th at Progress Park Plaza (15500 Downey Avenue), at 6:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting will be to present the City Council Air Quality Subcommittee’s recommendations for amending the City’s manufacturing zone regulations. The recommendations are sweeping and are the culmination of the Sub Committee’s work in response to the air quality situation. The proposed changes will have a huge impact on the future of the City.
The Study Session meeting will also allow the Planning Commission to discuss the recommendations, ask questions, and receive public input. However, no action will be taken at this meeting. Following the Study Session meeting, it is anticipated that the Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing and make a decision on the recommendations at their regular meeting on April 10th (to be held at the Clearwater Building, 16401 Paramount Boulevard at 6:00 pm).
