City Supports LB Port’s Clean Truck Fund Program

In the spirit of the recent California Clean Air Day, and the City’s commitment to air quality issues, Paramount Mayor Peggy Lemons has congratulated the Port of Long Beach Harbor Commission for adopting a Clean Truck Fund (CTF) fee.

“Surrounded by three freeways with major truck traffic carrying goods to and from the Port of Long Beach, the City of Paramount believes that implementing a CTF fee is a great effort for improving regional air quality and we encourage the Commission to continue its work in this area,” Mayor Lemons said.

Paramount considers itself a stakeholder in the discussion of such issues and looks forward to partnering with the Harbor Commission to achieve further healthy and clean initiatives.
