The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has initiated a year-round Residential Electric Lawn Mower Rebate program. Consumers can receive rebates of $150, $200, or $250 depending on the cost of their new electric mower. There is an on-line application and the electric mowers can be purchased at retail stores or on-line. The County of LA Department of Public Works has included this information in their Smart Garden Program newsletter.

SCAQMD has also begun a second program: in its Residential Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Incentive Program, eligible applicants can receive up to $250 to buy-down the cost of a residential charger. These Level 2 residential chargers typically range from $400-$800. There is an additional incentive of up to $250 available for low-income residents.
