California Clean Air Day is a project of the Coalition for Clean Air. The Coalition for Clean Air was founded in 1971 and is California’s only statewide organization who exclusively works on air quality issues.
Clean Air Day is a statewide effort which unites individuals and communities across the state to improve community health. This day of action focuses on simple solutions to improve air quality which include taking public transportation, biking and planting a tree. This year Clean Air Day will take place on Wednesday October 2, 2019.
The first Clean Air Day took place on October 3rd 2018. Business and organizations that participated last year include Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Metro, The Port of Long Beach and SoCal Edison.
