On December 14, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Hearing Board held proceedings to consider the request for an Order for Abatement petition filed against Anaplex Corporation and Aerocraft Heat Treating Company.
The City Council of Paramount has voted to impose a 45 day moratorium on any new or expanding metal-related businesses in the City. This moratorium was recommended for passed at the City Council meeting on December 13, 2016.

Mayor Daryl Hofmeyer wrote letters to Aerocraft Heat Treating and Anaplex Corporation, advocating on behalf of Paramount residents and the men and woman who work in the City.
Following South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) findings of high hexavalent chromium levels in Paramount and ongoing investigations, the City of Paramount has announced the formation of a new City Council Air Quality Sub Committee with two council members: Daryl Hofmeyer and Diane Martinez.
